When we partnered with Union Rescue Mission (URM) in Wichita, KS, they sought a partner that prioritized their goals and provided a custom approach to their fundraising program. Our team dug in with them and ensured that we understood their data, implemented a robust digital program to complement their custom direct mail program, and assisted with their back-end processes, including connecting web giving to CRM and source code and data structure.

We hit some bumps initially. Our initial billing process didn’t meet their needs and made it difficult to manage their accounting practices, so we overhauled how we provided them invoices to give them custom invoices with all the information they needed. And digital media did not perform the way we had initially projected, so we worked with them to establish rules for spending so that we managed their ROI goals. Both instances allowed us to understand them better and prove that we were committed to their success.

And we’re happy to report that the results of this type of partnership aren’t just emotional. After our first year together, URM’s direct mail cultivation net revenue had out-paced projections by 16%, they acquired high-value new donors with over a $50 average gift, and we’re working together to optimize our approach to provide them continual growth.
